Rooted in Community

Born at Divine Redeemer Hospital in South St. Paul, Todd Podgorski and his family have lived in South St. Paul for generations and he truly calls this city “home”. In 2001, Todd and his wife, Carrie, built their house in SSP—the same home where they raised their three children. With 30 years of marriage and deep family ties to our local schools and neighborhoods, Todd’s commitment to the future of our community is personal.

Proven Leadership & Experience

Todd has spent nearly three decades protecting and serving our community.

  • Public Safety Professional: A Peace Officer for over 28 years (currently serving as a Ramsey County Sheriff’s Deputy), Todd brings a unique, “Working in the trenches” perspective to public safety and local governance.
  • Experienced Public Servant: Todd has dedicated 14 years to the South St. Paul City Council, where he has consistently championed fiscal responsibility and infrastructure improvements.
  • Education Advocate: Before his time on the City Council, Todd served a four-year term on the South St. Paul School Board, gaining firsthand experience in supporting our students and educators.

Academic Foundation

Todd’s approach to policy is backed by a strong educational background:

  • B.A. in Political Science (Minor in Sociology), Magna Cum Laude – Winona State University.
  • A.A.S. in Law Enforcement & A.A. in General Studies – Inver Hills Community College.
