| 2022 Precinct Caucus This may be old news to some but it is still worth mentioning. Feb. 1 the statewide precinct cau- cus was held. We saw a 43% atten- dance headcount increase compared to the last 2 non-presi- dential election year caucus atten- dance. Many thanks to those who helped to plan the event and vol- unteer to assist on the day of the gathering. There are too many names to mention in this forum but suffice to say we could not have pulled off a successful cau- cus without the help of so many willing people to help out.|
State Convention and State Central
The MNGOP Executive Committee met yesterday, Thursday, April 21, to final- ize state central committee and state convention details. The executive com- mittee includes all 8 Congressional Dis- trict chairs and all state party officers. Here are some brief details I was pro- vided by CD 2 chair Jeff Schuette.
State Central Committee Meeting Thursday May 12, 2022 Registration opens at 11 a.m.
Meeting begins 1 p.m.
Note: State Central Committee (SC) dele- gates were elected at the 2021 BPOU con- ventions. Delegates will be seated according to which Congressional District they reside in AFTER redistricting.
Example: Goodhue County GOP BPOU elected State Central delegates at their 2021 convention. At that time Goodhue County was in Congres- sional District (CD) 2. After redistricting Good- hue County now lies in Congressional District 1. Those delegates will be seated with the CD 1 state central committee delegation.

City Advisory Commissions are look- ing to fill vacancies
If you are interested in getting involved in the decision making process at city hall here is your chance.
Area cities are now taking applications to fill vacancies on various advisory commissions. These commissions pro- vide advisory and input to city councils related to local initiatives and proposed policy decisions. This is not a large drain on your time. Commission meet- ings typically meet once a month for 1 to 2 hours.

Legislative Districts: Virtually all of the legislative districts in the Metro area have been redrawn or reapportioned. That includes those of us who live in the northern Dakota County. Accordingly, the redrawn district designations and several precincts have changed. We do not yet have detailed maps of the redrawn precincts but a map of House District (HD) 53A is provided below. 53B map is on page 3.Senate District 53 comprises HD 53A and HD 53B.
